WHAT IS A SCAFFOLD?

TYPES OF SCAFFOLDING SYSTEMS

 

Supported

A supported scaffold consists of one or more platforms supported by outrigger beams, brackets, poles, legs, uprights, posts, frames, or similar rigid support. These scaffolds are built from the ground up.

Suspended

A supported scaffold consists of one or more platforms suspended from a permanent or temporary structure overhead.

Mobile

A rolling scaffold is a caster-or-wheel-mounted supported scaffold. A rolling scaffold allows for easy movement, creating a more efficient workplace. They are designed for use on surfaces within 3 degrees of level that are free from pits, holes, or obstructions.
